CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
Jones Lang LaSalle
Jones Lang LaSalle’s Sustainability Services team has appointed Erin Karsten as EMEA technical sustainability consultant. Karsten was formerly a senior programme manager with the firm. Her new role will involve developing delivery of Downstream services and will act as a single point of contact for the region. The role will also involve working closely with Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project and Development Services and Energy Services teams.
Santander Corporate Banking
Steve King has joined Santander Corporate Banking as regional director for London. King will be responsible for managing the bank’s London corporate banking centre, which supports businesses with a turnover above £1m. He reports to Lindsey Rix, regional managing director for London and the South East and manages a team of 24 corporate and commercial relationship specialists. King has held a number of corporate and commercial banking roles having spent much of his career at RBS NatWest. An associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, King joins Santander from Clydesdale Bank, where he worked for four years, and was responsible for establishing and managing the Knightsbridge and Paddington Financial Solutions Centre’s.
Tenon
Accountancy firm Tenon has announced two new appointments. Jacqueline Thomson has joined as private client senior manager, providing personal tax advice to wealthy individuals. For the past 10 years Thomson has specialised in inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning, and the use of trusts both in lifetime and by will. Thomson is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Nick Dawe has joined as a senior VAT manager.
Dawe has 12 years experience in VAT and began his career with Customs & Excise (as it was) in 1997. He advises on all areas of VAT and his strengths lie in providing practical advice to the entrepreneurs that Tenon works with.
Weightmans
Law firm Weightmans is expanding its Professional Risk offering in London with the appointment of two new members to the team. Associate Lisa Kingston joins from Hammonds, while newly-qualified solicitor Andrew Milne joins from Lovells. Qualified in 2001, Kingston specialises in construction disputes and professional indemnity work and Milne is looking to build a similar career in the professional risk arena.
