The accountancy giant has hired three partners to its financial services consulting practice.
Kevin Burrowes, pictured, rejoins the firm from Credit Suisse, where he was head of finance for the EMEA region.
Steve Davies returns to the UK after ten years at PwC in the US, while Wolfgang Rieder rejoins from Bank Vontobel, where he was head of transaction banking and external asset management services.
Jefferies
The bank has appointed Peter Timpson as a senior vice president for emerging markets trading, focusing on central and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Timpson joins from Dresdner Kleinwort, where he worked for ten years as head of emerging markets external debt trading.
He also previously spent time at Morgan Grenfell / Deutsche Bank in fixed income emerging markets trading.
Watson Wyatt
Paul Herbert has joined the consultancy firm from Hewitt Associates as European head of investment consulting.
Herbert has 12 years of experience and, in his new role, will be responsible for advising pension funds on the various aspects of their defined contribution investment strategies.
Société Générale
SocGen’s corporate and investment banking division has appointed Donato González as chief country officer for Spain and Portugal, effective from 1 January.
González began his career with Banesto Bolsa’s equity department and moved over to SocGen in 1994.
In 1996, he became the chief executive officer of Société Générale Securities Spain, before taking responsibility for equity capital markets and mergers and acquisitions in 2002 and being appointed head of coverage and investment banking for Spain and Portugal in 2006.
DHL
The express and logistics firm has hired Rob Siegers as chief operating officer for its global customer solutions (GCS) organisation.
Siegers, 57, a Dutch national, has over 30 years of experience in the logistics and transportation industry. His previous positions include a stint as chief operating officer of Deutsche Post Euro Express.
T. Rowe Price
The investment management group has appointed Mike Gitlin to succeed Mary Miller as director of its fixed income division.
Gitlin, who joined the firm in 2007, is currently global head of trading.
Miller has decided to step down after being nominated by President Barack Obama in October to become the next assistant secretary for financial markets at the US Department of Treasury, subject to final US Senate approval.
