Barclays Corporate
Barclays’ corporate banking arm has appointed Colin Nutt as a vice chairman with responsibility for its financial institutions business.
Nutt, who was previously head of financial institutions at the bank, will be tasked with growing the business within the group, including exploring new opportunities among the Barclays Capital client base as part of the closer working relationship between the corporate and investment banks.
Clifford Chance
The legal giant has relocated two of its senior partners to other international offices, with Simon Clinton, the head of the Middle East corporate practice, moving to Singapore next year and London partner Guy Norman being seconded to Dubai from the end of October.
Clinton will also continue to lead the firm’s global sovereign wealth sector group from
Singapore.
Reed Smith
The law firm has appointed four new partners to its energy, trade and commodities group in London.
Keith Hartley is experienced in drafting and negotiation energy infrastructure contracts,
particularly in relation to gas and power, including nuclear and renewable energy.
Peter Cassidy focuses on the contractor side of the oil and gas, petrochemicals and power sectors, while Vincent Rowan advises the owner and developer side. Gordon Bell is an international arbitration specialist.
Heritage Capital
The merchant banking subsidiary of Swiss family-owned Banque Heritage has made four new hires in its capital markets group in emerging markets fixed income sales and research.
James Paton joins from HSBC as managing director for Asia sales; Catherine Blanc joins the firm in London from Barclays Wealth, with responsibility for emerging markets fixed income research; Raul Vidal moves over from ING to focus on Latin American debt capital markets coverage; and Raji Khoury joins from Credit Suisse as an associate director in fixed income sales, covering the Middle East region.
Osmosis
Osmosis Investment Management, which focuses on developing low carbon investment solutions, has appointed Dr Rory Sullivan as head of responsible investment.
Sullivan previously held the same role at Insight Investment and is an expert on climate change and investment.
