The business advisory firm has appointed Ashley Unwin as head of its performance improvement consulting practice.
Unwin joins from Terra Firma Capital Partners. Until recently, he was acting chief operating officer for EMI Music in North America and chief executive officer for EMI Music in the UK and Ireland. Prior to that, he was a partner at Deloitte.
Overlay Asset Management
The currency management specialist has appointed Philip Bond as head of research, effective immediately.
Bond previously worked for Credit Suisse and JP Morgan as an arbitrage trader and also has experience developing quantitative trading strategies at Brevan Howard and managing a systematic trading platform at Peloton Partners.
Vodafone
The telecoms giant has promoted Michel Combes and Stephen Pusey to its board as executive directors.
Combes, 47, is currently chief executive of the firm’s Europe region, having joined Vodafone in October last year. He was also previously chairman and chief executive of TDF Group and chief financial officer at France Telecom.
Pusey, also 47, joined Vodafone in September 2006 and is currently group chief technology officer. He formerly spent 24 years working for Nortel.
Vertex
The business process outsourcing firm has appointed Keshav Gaur as chief executive officer of its Indian business and a member of the firm’s main management board.
Prior to joining Vertex, he was country head for Fidelity Business Services India Private Limited. He has also held senior roles at IBM, GE Capital, American Express Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank.
Advanced Power Components
The Aim-listed electronic components supplier has appointed David Brown as interim finance director while it recruits a new permanent finance director.
Brown, 57, has been company secretary for the past year and previously spent 20 years working for the likes of Swiss Re and USAA.
