Artemis Investment Management
The fund management group has hired Giles Parkinson as a new investment analyst, tasked with supporting William Littlewood in managing the £567m Artemis Strategic Assets Fund, launched by the firm just over a year ago.
Parkinson joins from Newton Investment Management, where he has been a research analyst for the past four years.
He is due to take up his new role in late September.
KPMG
Ferdia Byrne and Claire Farrelly have left Towers Watson to join KPMG’s insurance risk and actuarial practice as a partner and associate partner.
Byrne was a principal at Towers Watson, where he had management responsibility for the risk consulting team in Paris. Prior to that, he was a partner at Ernst & Young.
In her former role, Farrelly was a principal consultant in the insurance and financial services practice.
Mercer
The consulting, outsourcing and investment group has taken on Wayne Fitzgibbon as a principal and senior consultant in its investment consulting business in London.
Fitzgibbon was previously head of fixed income, currency and commodities at Macquarie Investment Bank in Sydney, and more recently in London.
His career so far has spanned 15 years in investment management and 10 years as a macro-economist.
Finisterre Capital
The emerging markets hedge fund has appointed a new credit analyst in the form of Toby Triebel, who moves over from Alix Partners in London.
At Alix, Triebel worked in the corporate turnaround and restructuring team. He started his career at Goldman Sachs, where he was an analyst on the industrials and natural resources team and later an associate in the FICC derivatives and debt capital markets division.
