CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
Morse
The IT services and technology company has poached Guy Millward as group finance director from Kewill, where he also held the position of finance director. He originally qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst and Young.
Morse also said yesterday that Kevin Loosemore will return to his original role as non-executive chairman. He will also chair the nomination committee and become a member of the audit and remuneration committees.
RBC Capital Markets
The investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada has appointed Carmine Meoli as head of private banking solution sales, along with Arif Hussein and Peter Drewienkiewicz, who join as directors in the rates sales and trading team.
Meoli was previously with ABN Amro and Deutsche Bank, where he was head of private banking sales for Switzerland.
Hussein and Drewienkiewicz both join from UBS, where they were head of sterling swaps and an executive director in fixed income rates derivatives respectively.
Execution
The agency broker has hired Richard Archbold as a sales trader in its London office.
Archbold has over 20 years of trading experience and joins from Exane, where he was a senior European equity sales trader. Prior to that, he worked at SG Securities as a European equity sales trader, setting up a hedge fund desk and working alongside the derivative flow team and traditional, long-only sales traders.
IK Investment Partners
The European private equity firm has appointed Mads Ryum Larsen as a member of its executive committee.
Larsen is currently responsible for the group’s investor relations activities, a position he has held since 2005. He has been a director since 1997 and was appointed partner in 2004.
USS
The Universities Superannuation Scheme, the second largest UK pension fund, has appointed Luke Dixon as a portfolio manager for its absolute return strategies team.
Dixon was previously an executive director at JP Morgan, where he was responsible for global hedge fund due diligence for EMEA structured products. He has also held senior analyst and portfolio advisory positions at Ermitage and Aurum Funds.
UBA Capital
Sruti Patel is to join the investment banking and asset management group’s sales team to cover Africa.
Patel has 10 years of experience in African equity markets and joins from Renaissance Capital, where she was a banking analyst for sub-Saharan Africa.
