Legal & General Property
The institutional property fund manager has made several appointments to its research team. Head of research Rob Martin has been promoted to the board of Legal & General Property. He joined the firm from Hammerson in October 2006. Barbora Melezinkova has been appointed performance analyst. She joins from IPD, where she was an update leader in its portfolio analysis team.
Cluttons
John Wood has been appointed managing partner of the property consultancy firm. He replaces Paul Chilton, who will return to a full time fee-earning role within Cluttons’s project and building consultancy division. Wood will begin his new role on 1 June. He is formerly head of the commercial division and joined the firm in 1996.
Employment Lawyers Association
Richard Fox, head of employment at Kinglsey Napley, the law firm, has been elected chair of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA). Fox was previously chair of the ELA’s legislative and policy subcommittee and latterly deputy chair. He has practised at Kingsley Napley since qualifying in 1986.
Eversheds
The law firm has announced the creation of a new role for lawyers looking for an alternative route to partnership. In London, three lawyers have been promoted to the position of legal director. Lindi Rudman, Sarah Bion, and Camilla Spielman all practice within Eversheds’s financial services department. Rudman is an international fund registration specialist, Bion a investment funds specialist and Spielman an investment funds tax specialist.
Deloitte
The business advisory firm has appointed Alex Poracchia as a new partner in its general insurance actuarial team. He joins from Zurich Insurance Group, where he was most recently chief financial officer of its global corporate division. Poracchia previously held general insurance actuarial roles, and spent five years as the chief pricing actuary at Swiss Re UK.
Squire Sanders
The law firm has expanded its engineering, procurement and construction practice with the hire of DLA Piper’s team of specialist lawyers. The team includes Europe, Middle East and Africa group head Graeme Bradley. Bradley specialises in engineering and construction project delivery, with a particular emphasis in energy, oil and gas process projects.
Rostrum Communications
The London-based public relations agency has appointed Michael Kahn as its new head of content. The appointment follows Nick Bolshaw taking over as managing director and Mark Houlding being named as the firm’s chief executive. Kahn was most recently director of public relations at CBC, a specialist technology public relations firm.
