Irwin Mitchell
The UK solicitor firm has appointed Denny Payton as partner in its motor team. Payton has been a solicitor for over nineteen years and has extensive experience working for major insurers, corporate fleets and brokers. Her focus is on delivering outsourcing services to international clients.
DLA Piper
Prakash Paran has joined the law firm’s London office as partner in the corporate group and member of the global insurance and reinsurance sector group. Paran trained and qualified at Simmons & Simmons, and has also worked at Dewey & LeBeouf.
Stadia Trustees
The pensions company, which specialises in the administration of self-invested pension plans, has expanded its team with three new hires. Claire Wilkins has been appointed general manager, having previously worked with the firm as an external HR consultant. Jack Ketley and Jamie Simpson are joining as pensions administrators.
SkyBridge Capital
The alternative investment firm has added five new members to its sales team. Justin Arasin and John Langston will become directors of global distribution, along with two additional support staff. Henrik Molin has joined SkyBridge as director of marketing.
Aquila Capital
Aquila, the alternative investment company, has appointed Armin Gudat as senior fund manager. He will be responsible for the firm’s quantitative funds. Gudat joins from AXA Rosenberg, and he has previously held roles at Dresdner Bank and Westfalenbank.
RICS
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has appointed Peter King, former chief executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFOPP), as global residential director. King is replacing the out-going group director David Dalby, who is retiring in July. Prior to joining the NFOPP, King was senior area director at Bradford and Bingley and area director at Black Horse Agencies.
Ashurst
Alessandro Giovannelli has been appointed head of corporate in the law firm’s Italian practice. Formerly a partner with Pavia e Ansaldo, Giovannelli previously spent seven years at Allen & Overy. His hire follows partner Fabio Pizzoccheri’s move from Ashurst’s London office to its base in Milan.
