CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
Post Office
Virginia Holmes is joining the board of the Post Office as a non-executive director. Holmes has previously served as chief executive of AXA Investment Managers UK, and spent more than a decade with the Barclays Group, where she was ultimately managing director of Barclays Bank Trust Company. She currently sits on the board and chairs the investment committees of both the Alberta Investment Management Corporation, in Canada, and the Universities Superannuation Scheme, in the UK. She is also on the boards of Standard Life Investments and the JP Morgan Claverhouse Investment Trust.
Sinclair IS Pharma
The pharmaceutical company has announced the appointment of Robert Taylor as investor relations manager. Taylor joins from Singer Markets, where he was head of corporate broking and sales. Prior to this he was director and head of sales at Arbuthnot Securities. He has also held senior roles at HSBC and Hoare Govett.
Berry Asset Management
The private client wealth management firm, a subsidiary of the private banking group Bordier & Cie, has announced that Paul Cadman will become director of IFA sales. Cadman joins the company from Quilter, where he has held the position of senior associate since April 2008. His is the latest in a series of new appointments by chief executive Jamie MacLeod, including Steve Croucher as chief operating officer and Richard Fellows as director of wealth management.
Troika Dialog
Troika, the investment company and subsidiary of Sberbank of Russia, has announced the upcoming appointments of Igor Krol, Maxim Glushkov and Alexei Litvintsev in its investment banking division. All three senior hires will start their new roles in early April 2012. Krol joins Troika as director (consumer and retail) from Citigroup, where he was director in global banking, covering Russia. He started his career at Nestle. Glushkov arrives as director (mergers and acquisitions executive) from the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was executive director and head of corporate finance for Russia. Litvintsev joins as vice president (real estate) after five years with Credit Suisse in London.
Rathbone Investment Management
Rathbone, the providers of discretionary investment management, has announced that James Neil is joining its London office as investment director. Neil will report to Rathbone’s head of investment management in London, Richard Smeeton. Neil arrives from Newton Investment Management, where he has worked for twelve years. He was previously a small companies investment manager at Lincoln Investment Management.
