CITY MOVES | WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
May Gurney
Margaret Ford, Baroness Ford of Cunninghame, will become non-executive chairman at the company’s AGM on 7 July 2011. In the interim she will be appointed to the board as a non-executive director, with immediate effect. Gurney, 53, recently retired from Serco as senior independent director and has extensive public company experience, including Grainger Trust and English Partnerships. She replaces outgoing chairman David Sterry, who will stand down in July.
Logica
Logica has appointed Himanshu Raja as chief financial officer and executive director of the Logica board, with effect from 5 September. Raja has spent the last ten years at BT, most recently as chief financial officer of BT Global Services.
Arqiva
The communications infrastructure firm has appointed Phil Moses as chief financial officer. Moses joins from BT, where he was chief financial officer of BT’s Openreach business, an operation with a turnover approaching £5bn.
Midmar Capital
Dariusz Sliwinski has been appointed by the asset management firm to join the investment team of Michael Nicol and Alistair MacDonald. Previously, Sliwinski was a director at Martin Currie Investment, where he also held the role of head of emerging markets.
CAPCO
The business technology consultancy has appointed Alex Corsi as partner in the firm’s London office. Corsi was formerly executive partner of Accenture’s Capital Markets.
TNT Post
Manoj Parmar has been appointed as group finance director for the private postal sector operator. Parmar qualified as a chartered accountant with PWC, and joins TNT Post UK from a private equity-backed technology business, where he was chief financial officer.
Religare Capital Markets
The investment bank has appointed Gautam Trivedi as managing director and head of institutional equities for India. Trivedi joins from Goldman Sachs, where he was head of sales.
VTB Capital
The investment bank has appointed Atanas Bostandjiev as its chief executive for UK and international. Bostandjiev, who was formerly a partner at Goldman Sachs, will be responsible for the bank’s operations at an international level, based in London.
