Bank of Ireland
Bank of Ireland has appointed Patrick Mulvihill and Pat Butler as non-executive directors. Butler (pictured), who will join the bank’s risk committee and the nomination and governance committee, is a partner at Resolution Group and a former senior director of McKinsey & Co. Mulvihill, who will join Bank of Ireland’s risk committee and the audit committee, is currently a non-executive director of Goldman Sachs (Europe) and a member of the bank’s audit committee.
World Federation of Advertisers
Ian Hutchinson, worldwide media director for Reckitt Benckiser, has been announced as the new chairman of the World Federation of Advertisers media committee. Hutchinson previously worked at the media buying agency MediaCom and advertising agency Leo Burnett. He replaces Wrigley’s senior director of global media Ian Gallois, who has chaired the group for the past four years.
Aquila Capital
The Hamburg-based alternative investment company has appointed Oldrik Verloop to lead business development in Benelux and Scandinavia. Verloop joins from Switzerland’s oldest bank, Wegelin & Co, where he developed a market-entry strategy for Benelux and Scandinavia.
Norton Rose
Norton Rose Australia has appointed construction and engineering lawyer Simon Bellas as a partner, effective from March 2012. Bellas joins from Baker & McKenzie, where he focused on construction and engineering disputes in Australia and Asia.
Marsh
Keith Fenwick has been appointed to lead Marsh’s Norwich office. Fenwick joins Marsh from JLT Re, where he has been chief operating officer for the last five years. Prior to that, Fenwick was UK chief executive of Marsh’s sister company, Guy Carpenter.
Spire Healthcare
The private hospital group has appointed Simon Gordon, formerly group finance director at Virgin Active Group, as chief financial officer. Peter Kahn, who has been supporting the business as a consultant since 2007, joins as commercial director, and Andrew Gore has been promoted from hospital director to national operations director.
CFA Institute
Claire Fargeot has been appointed as head of the standards and financial market integrity division of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute for EMEA. Fargeot most recently worked as an investor relations consultant, partner and board director at Buchanan Communications.
