Nicola Hayes has been appointed head of client service and relationship development in London for the investment management firm. She joins from Invesco Perpetual, where she was most recently associate director, global sales and relationship management. Hayes was also previously a consultant director in Invesco’s UK institutional sales team.
Smith & Williamson Investment Management
Mickey Morrissey has been appointed director and head of independent financial adviser sales at the investment management firm. He joins from Liontrust, where he worked as head of distribution for ten years. Morrissey also spent 12 years at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman
Mike Pierides has been appointed partner in the law firm’s global sourcing practice. He joins from Pinsent Masons, where he was a partner in its technology, media and telecoms sourcing group. Pierides is joined by senior associates Simon Lightman and Alistair Charleton.
Arbuthnot Latham
The private bank has appointed Ian Avery as a chartered wealth planner. He joins from Shipman Financial Planning, where he held the same position. Avery has also held roles at JLT, where he was an independent financial adviser in its wealth management team.
AbbVie
Matt Regan has been appointed UK general manager of the biopharmaceutical firm, following the company’s separation from Abbott. He was previously general manager for Abbott Norge in Norway, and has also served as regional director for the Abbott Diabetes Care Division in Northern Europe.
Macquarie Securities
Matthew Turner has been appointed precious metals analyst in the financial services firm’s commodities research team. He joins from Mitsubishi, where he was its global precious metals strategist. Turner has previously held roles at VM Group, the World Gold Council and The Economist.
Pioneer Investments
David Glazer has been appointed to the newly-created role of portfolio manager in the investment management firm’s global equities team. He was most recently co-portfolio manager at Franklin Templeton Global Advisors in New York. Glazer has over 12 years’ experience as an equity professional, and has also held roles at Boston Common Asset Management and Harbor Capital Management.
