Alpha Strategic
The investment firm has appointed Alistair McKay as its new chief executive. He was most recently a senior adviser to Asset Management Finance, a US private investment firm. McKay is a chartered accountant and has also previously held senior roles at Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley.
Michael Page
Kate Chapman has been appointed to the newly created role of group director of human resources at the recruitment firm. She will join in January 2013 from BT, where she has held a variety of senior human resources roles across its global business.
London & Capital
Mark Estcourt has been appointed as executive director for the wealth management firm’s new immigration investment wealth management division. He joins from Merchant Cavendish Young, where he was a managing director and wealth manager.
Nomura
Nomura has announced several new appointments. Tina Rydberg joins as head of Nordic fixed income sales from BNP Paribas. Sam Catalano joins as managing director, head of metals and mining research for Europe, Middle East and Africa from Extel. Nick Matthews and Silvio Peruzzo join as European economists in Nomura’s fixed income research team. Finally, Matthew Reader joins as global head of structured rates, ex-Japan from JP Morgan, where he headed up its illiquid trading business.
OVS Capital
The hedge fund has announced two new appointments to its investment team. Robert Moore joins OVS to manage treasury and finance. He previously worked at GLG Partners for 14 years. Yvonne Daffy joins as a fund accountant. She previously worked at Morgan Stanley.
