The professional services organisation has added seven information security specialists to its risk advisory practice. The expansion is in response to growing demand from UK companies for information security services. Among the cohort is Robin Gaddum, who joins as senior manager. Gaddum, a fellow of the Business Continuity Institute, previously led IBM’s UK business continuity and resilience consultancy practice. Another addition is Emma Butler, who has taken up a managerial role specialising in data protection and privacy. Butler previously led the international policy team at the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Steve Rayner has re-joined the company he first worked at over 20 years ago as a director. Rayner takes the helm of the engineering consultancy’s structural division in a newly created role that will encompass international development. Rayner has over 25 years’ experience in the sector, working across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Simmons & Simmons
The global law firm has expanded its international corporate and commercial group with the appointment of Helmut Kempf as partner in their Düsseldorf office. Kempf joins from REW, the energy company, where he worked since 2001. Previous to that, Kempf worked at Commerzbank, the German finance and banking firm. Kempf has experience with mergers and acquisitions and large infrastructure projects.
