Brookfield Asset Management
The property, renewable power and infrastructure asset manager has appointed Julian Schiller as senior vice president in the global private funds group in London. He will look after European and Middle Eastern investors and assist in broader business development for the real estate group, working alongside Barry Blattman and Martin Jepson. Schiiler joins from Jones Lang LaSalle Corporate Finance in London, where he led the private funds advisory team.
Barclays Corporate
Barclays has expanded its trade and working capital team by hiring Ray Zabarte as head of trade and working capital product management and Adrian Ow as head of risk weighted asset optimisation, trade and working capital. Both join from Standard Chartered.
Brady
The trading, risk management and settlement solutions supplier has appointed Stephen Butcher as chief executive of metals. Butcher’s previous roles include managing director of the solutions division of Dealogic.
Hydrodec Group
The cleantech industrial oil re-refining group has appointed Ian Smale as chief executive designate, ahead of his start at the company in January 2012. Smale, who was most recently group head of strategy and policy at BP, will succeed Mark McNamara, who will remain at the company as senior executive director.
DC Advisory Partners
The corporate finance house has appointed Ciara O’Neill as a managing director. O’Neill joins from Mizuho Bank, where she was head of the leveraged capital markets Europe team.
Foresight Group
The alternative asset manager has strengthened its fund management teams with two new hires. David Conlon, formerly of Aleltho Energy, has been appointed as director of Foresight’s environmental team and Arnoud Klaren, who arrives from solar technology provider SolFocus, will oversee the company’s Spanish solar photovoltaics investments.
Livingstone
The M&A boutique has promoted Alex John to director in its London office. John joined Livingstone in January 2007 from the M&A tax department of KPMG and has led deals including the sales of EIC, Hamworthy Heating and Hallmark Industries.
