SWIP
Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has confirmed Francis Ghiloni as director of distribution and client management. Ghiloni, who joined SWIP in March 2010 as head of group partnerships, has held the role on an interim basis since June. Based in Edinburgh, Ghiloni reports to SWIP’s managing director Dean Buckley, and will be responsible for SWIP’s sales, marketing, product development and media relations. Prior to joining SWIP, Ghiloni was head of intermediary distribution for Prudential UK.
Anesco
Neil Hutchings, who joined the energy efficiency firm Anesco aged 16 before rising through the ranks to become national business manager, has been promoted to operations director. Hutchings will be based at the firm’s head office near Reading, and will report directly to chief operating officer Tim Payne.
Withers
The law firm has appointed tax investigations partner Maurice Martin to its London team. Martin joins from Irwin Mitchell, where he was a partner and head of the business and personal tax investigations team.
Uralkali
Sir Robert John Margetts, who has been serving on the board of Uralkali, one of the world’s largest potash producers, since June, has been appointed as a senior independent director. Margetts is the former chairman of Legal & General Group and BOC Group.
Reed Smith
The law firm has appointed Tamara Box as head of structured finance and a partner in the financial industry group in the London office. Box was previously head of international structured finance at Berwin Leighton Paisner.
Maxifier
The online ad campaign performance firm has appointed Roger Williams as senior vice president of marketing, based in London. Williams joins from AudienceScience where, as director of international marketing, he helped launch the brand in Japan and Germany.
State Street
Michael Ho has been appointed as chief investment officer for emerging market equities and global macro capabilities at State Street Global Advisors, based in Boston. Ho joins from Mellon Capital Management, where he was chief investment officer.
Savills
The real estate adviser has appointed Sebastian Peters to lead its office agency team in Hamburg. Peters joined the company in November 2010 as a senior consultant.
