City Moves for 9 July – Who’s switching jobs?
Today’s City Moves includes Baird, Glenhawk and Astarte Capital Partners.
Baird
Baird has announced that Simon Pearson and Justin Prichard (pictured) have joined its European investment banking group as managing directors, continuing the expansion of Baird’s global technology & services practice. The duo will focus on the technology, media and telecoms space, and will be based in the firm’s London office. Both Simon and Justin join from EY, where they led the firm’s technology, media & telecoms M&A advisory practice and advised clients in approximately 30 countries. Collectively, they bring more than 40 years of M&A advisory experience to Baird. Prior to his role at EY, Simon was a director at PwC, where he helped establish the firm’s business in central Europe. Justin was previously director of corporate development at a venture-backed technology startup and also held various investment banking roles at EY and Macquarie Bank.
Glenhawk
Glenhawk, the UK challenger lender, has appointed former Morgan Stanley head of residential mortgage trading Steven Khan, an industry veteran with nearly 40 years of residential and commercial real-estate experience, as chief operating officer. Steven joins from boutique lender Step One Finance, where he was head of commercial development. His arrival at Glenhawk closely follows that of Caroline Ong earlier this month, as the company continues to build out its senior team as it targets further fundraising and the launch of several products this year. Effective immediately, Steven will be based in London and report directly to chief executive Guy Harrington.
Astarte Capital Partners
Astarte Capital Partners, an alternatives co-investment platform, has named Richard Templer as finance director and Bruno Fumach as investment director. The two new hires join the real asset manager’s team in London, bringing with them 24 years of combined experience. Prior to joining Astarte, Richard worked in a finance role at AMP Capital on the Global Infrastructure Funds. Formerly, he managed the fund finance team of Hermes GPE, working across private equity and infrastructure fund structures. He also worked in the infrastructure and real estate finance team at Deutsche Bank. Bruno was previously vice president of asset and capital structuring for Santander’s corporate and investment banking arm in London. He joined Santander in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and was responsible for origination, structuring and execution of Santander’s equity investment in the renewables and transportation asset sector. He was also part of the project finance team at Santander UK.
