Indigo Planning
Indigo Planning has appointed regeneration and community engagement expert Mark Teasdale as associate director. Mark has provided consultancy advice to Indigo Planning for more than 10 years, creating its methodology for assessing the socio-economic impact of major, mixed use developments, directing numerous studies assessing the potential economic and social benefits of major schemes and preparing the chapters on socio-economic effects for a wide range of environmental impact assessments. In this new role Mark will lead Indigo Planning’s regeneration, economic impact, community engagement and research work. Mark worked with Reigate & Banstead council from 2009 to 2012 as a regeneration project manager, leading the transformation of Redhill town centre. Mark also served as the head of housing and planning at the Rural Development Commission from 1993 to 1996.
Payne Hicks Beach
London law firm Payne Hicks Beach has appointed Max Baird-Smith as a partner in the company & commercial department. He joins from BDGS Associes in Paris, and specialises in advising a range of corporate clients on complex acquisitions and disposals, private equity transactions, joint ventures and general commercial matters. Max has a wealth of experience, including on cross-border matters, from his time at BDGS and from having previously been at Gide in Paris and in Slaughter and May’s corporate team.
Seddons
London-based law firm Seddons has announced that Daniel Robin and Moshe Moses have been promoted to the role of partner. Their appointment brings the total number of partners at the firm to 29. Daniel Robin joined as a trainee in 2007 and qualified into property litigation in 2009. Moshe joined the firm as a trainee in 2008, and focuses on advising high net-worth individuals, banks, trusts and developers in relation to high-value residential property sales and acquisitions.
Aquila Capital
Aquila Capital has announced the appointment of Manfred Schraepler as managing director and business unit head, financial assets and liquid private markets. In the newly created role, Manfred will be responsible for the strategic direction and further growth of Aquila Capital’s financial asset business. He joins Aquila Capital from Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s fund solutions group, having previously worked in a senior capacity at a number of firms, including as director of marketing at IKOS CIF and head of structured funds at Deutsche Bank in London.
CMS
Shakeel Adli has been named partner in CMS’ banking and finance practice. He joins from Norton Rose Fulbright. Shakeel has expertise in Shariah-compliant corporate lending, real estate finance, asset finance, project finance, trade finance, debt restructurings, product development and debt capital market transactions acting for lenders, borrowers, sponsors and security providers.
