Deloitte
Deloitte has announced Matt Ellis as new managing partner for tax in the UK and Switzerland. He takes over from Andy Hodge who led the practice for the past five years and is retiring from the firm. Matt has held a variety of positions in Deloitte, including in regional offices in Southampton and Reading as well as London. Most recently he led Deloitte UK’s global employer services business and served as talent leader for tax.
PwC Legal
PwC Legal has appointed Laetitia Costa as the head of its banking and finance team in London. Laetitia has over 15 years' experience in leveraged finance, real estate and debt restructuring transactions. She has previously worked for Milbank, Tweed and Hadley & McCloy LLP in London. Laetitia will be responsible for driving further development of the PwC Legal banking and finance offering and overseeing its growth.
Radius Equity
Andrew Hodson is joining Radius Equity, a provider of tax efficient private equity investments, as its new head of business development. Andrew has over 25 years' experience in accountancy and financial services and has worked for companies including HSBC, Citi and Barclays. Andrew also holds a number of directorships on the boards of companies, including B2C mobile messaging platform Novastone Media, London based sustainable commercial urban farm GrowUp Urban Farms, and the production agency Stagestruck.
Holman Fenwick Willan
International law firm Holman Fenwick Willan has appointed David Harby as a senior associate in its fraud & insolvency practice. David, who joins from Loeb Smith, specialises in high value and complex corporate and commercial litigation and advocacy. He has previously practised at the independent Bar in England and Wales, and subsequently in the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands. He is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a mediator accredited by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution.
