ISS
Global provider of facility services for public agencies and private sector companies ISS has named Richard Sykes to the ISS executive group management as regional chief executive western Europe. Effective no later than 1 October, Richard will continue to be based out of the UK in his new role. Currently CEO ISS UK & Ireland, Richard joined in 2012. He became managing director of Taylor Woodrow FM in 2000 before gaining an MBA and joined its executive board in 2006 where he took responsibility for the businesses construction and services operations. In 2009, Richard joined Carillion as managing director for its services business.
EDM Group
EDM Group (EDM), a provider of information and business process management technology and services, has announced the appointment of Andrew King as chief executive of EDM UK. Andrew joins from KPMG where he was chief operating officer for corporates, government and private equity as well as director of bidding. Before he joined KPMG, Andrew was sales and marketing director at G4S, and prior to that he spent 15 years in a variety of UK, European and global roles in sales and service delivery at document management and workflow solutions company Xerox.
Bristow
London-based law firm Bristows has announced the appointment of Theo Savvides as one the firm’s joint managing partners. An experienced IP litigation specialist, Theo also heads up the firm’s copyright and digital disputes team advising global clients in the media, technology, consumer product and life sciences sectors. He will be working with IT and data privacy specialist Mark Watts. Theo succeeds corporate partner Iain Redford, who steps down after serving two terms and resumes a full-time focus on his practice in the technology, media, telecoms and life sciences sectors.
Allsop
Property consultancy Allsop has promoted James Abrahams to Equity Partner. James’ career began as a graduate in 1999, fresh from Reading University and he has steadily worked up through the Allsop ranks first becoming an associate and then making salaried partner in 2006. Based within the City Investment Team, James’ major deals include the £101m purchase of Inmarsat Building, 99 City Road, EC1 on behalf of London and Regional. The purchase of Empire House, City Road for £20.65m and the sale of 111 Cannon Street to London and Oriental for £7.5m behalf of Standard Life Investments. James’ main role now will be to continue to lead on business generation for the city investment team.
