MJ Hudson
Asset management consultancy MJ Hudson has announced the appointment of Declan Canavan as its new commercial director and a managing director with responsibility for business development. Declan joins the London-headquartered firm from JP Morgan Asset Management where he was managing director and head of alternative investment strategies for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Declan brings two decades of experience across a wide spectrum of alternative asset classes and investment disciplines.
Maven
Carolyn McEwan has been appointed as investment manager of Maven, a UK private equity and property house. Carolyn joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where she qualified as a chartered surveyor and spent seven years primarily within the capital markets team. Carolyn specialised in advising a wide range of clients on both the purchase and sale of commercial property across the office, retail, industrial and alternative sectors. She has led on numerous highly successful marketing campaigns from the initial pricing strategy to production of key materials through to concluding legals. Colin Anderson, partner at Maven said: “We are delighted that Carolyn has joined the Maven property team. Her appointment comes at a time of rapid expansion, with a growing pipeline of deals and strong demand for Maven-sourced investment opportunities.”
Impact
Partnership automation firm Impact has announced the appointment of Joo Mi Kim as its new chief financial officer (CFO). As CFO and a member of the executive team, Joo Mi will lead financial planning and analysis, accounting, global clearinghouse, human resources, legal, facilities as well as investor and board relations. Joo Mi brings over 15 years of combined experience in financial planning and operations, investor relations, investment banking, and economic consulting. Most recently, she served as CFO of Aera Technology, an enterprise cognitive technology company. Prior to Aera, Joo Mi served as the vice president of financial planning and analysis investor relations at Qualys, a leading IT security and compliance provider. The chief executive officer of Impact, David A. Yovanno, commented on the appointment: “Joo Mi’s addition to the executive leadership team and extensive financial, investor and operational leadership experience will be key for our next stage of growth. As companies increasingly look to partnerships as a new growth, Joo Mi will ensure we have efficient and proper financial operations.”
