KPMG
KPMG has appointed Sue Kershaw as a director in the UK firm and UK head of infrastructure programme and project management. Sue, who is a board member of the Association for Project Management, brings over 30 years’ experience as a civil engineer and programme manager to the role. Sue joins from CH2M HILL where she held the position of director of rail for Europe. She has been director of programme management for Grosvenor Britain and Ireland, as well as deputy director of transport for the Olympic Delivery Authority. Sue is a fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, and a member of the London Enterprise Panel.
Baxter Neumann
Tom Parry has been appointed a partner in the executive search practice of Baxter Neumann. Tom, a graduate in psychology from the University of Oxford, began his consulting career at Arthur Andersen. He then moved into search working for Whitehead Mann (now Korn Ferry Whitehead Mann), and then moved into corporate finance with US global Law firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP. Tom worked on a number of pan-European financial transactions for Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and a restructuring of high-profile SIV funds for Goldman Sachs. Tom then joined Major, Lindsey & Africa.
GFT
GFT, provider of advisory, business consulting, IT and software services to the financial services community, has appointed Reena Patel as a principal consultant within its growing data practice. Reena joins GFT UK from UBS where she worked extensively within financial delivery. In the past two years she has predominantly focused on strategic financial, treasury and client performance management solutions. With a focus on data governance and quality, Reena will be enhancing existing GFT offerings and developing new data practice services in order to help institutions achieve regulatory compliance, and increase their business efficiency.
S. W. Mitchell Capital
Specialist European equity manager S. W. Mitchell Capital has appointed Hugh Grootenhuis as a special adviser to the boutique. Hugh, who recently spent six years as chief executive of Waverton Investment Management and predecessor JO Hambro Investment Management, has also become a director of S.W. Mitchell Capital.
