Edmonds Marshall McMahon
Private prosecution law firm Edmonds Marshall McMahon has announced the firm’s expansion into civil fraud with the appointment of leading City litigator Robert Hunter. He joins as a partner from Herbert Smith Freehills where he was head of the fraud and asset tracing group. Robert has over 25 years’ experience in the field. He is a highly respected solicitor advocate, and has been noted in the Chambers guide as the star practitioner in the area for many years. Prior to his move to Herbert Smith Freehills, Robert headed up the trust, asset tracing and fraud group at Allen & Overy.
Criticaleye
Peer to peer board community Criticaleye has appointed Bill Caplan as the newest member of its group of board mentors. Bill is currently chairman of crane hire and services company Weldex International and non-executive chairman for community healthcare provider CSH Surrey. During his operational career, Bill was a senior executive for both UPS’ international parcels and supply chain solutions divisions. He was also an executive director for Aggreko, responsible for the company’s expansion into new markets as well as winning and delivering Aggreko’s contract at the London 2012 Olympics.
Tryzens
Edd Castledine has been appointed chief financial officer of Tryzens, the provider of retail and B2B digital commerce solutions. Prior to joining Tryzens, Edd served as financial director at Telenomics, an O2 franchise partner in the telecommunications sector where he was a member of the executive team helping to scale the company and manage its business partnerships, as well as the finance, HR and operations departments. He started his career in finance at Baker Tilly and then Deloitte, where he held the role of manager in the reorganisation services team.
Kennedys
International law firm Kennedys has strengthened its professional indemnity (PI) practice with the appointment of Fleur Rochester as a partner in its London office. She is the fourth lateral partner hire by the firm this calendar year. Joining from Hill Dickinson, Fleur has completed a number of secondments for brokers and underwriters during her career and, as well as acting for Lloyd’s Syndicates, has existing relationships with many of Kennedys’ global insurer clients, further strengthening the firm’s London market offering. The firm’s PI practice acts for insurers and professionals in all sectors including property, legal and financial services, media and IT.
