FARMDROP
Former Marks & Spencer head of logistics, Philip Eaves has joined online marketplace, Farmdrop as its first director of supply chain. The appointment coincides with a major product upgrade as the online marketplace launches one-hour slot, seven-day deliveries via its fleet of zero emission electric vans and Farmdroppers. Philip previously headed up logistical development at Marks & Spencer, and joins a growing 35-strong team led by founder and chief executive, Ben Pugh.
Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher
Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has announced that James Perry will join the firm’s London office as a partner. Currently a partner in Ashurst LLP’s financial institutions group in London, James will continue his regulatory and transactional practice, with a focus on the financial services and insurance industries.
39 Essex chambers
39 Essex Chambers have announced that Sian Davies and Edmund Townsend have joined chambers. Sian arrives from Cornerstone Barristers and specialises in a full range of public law matters including adult social service, children services, housing, immigration & asylum, EU law and Court of Protection. Sian was called to the bar in 1999. Edmund, who was called to the bar in 2006, joins us from Farrar’s Building and undertakes work for both claimants and defendants across the spectrum of Chambers’ practice areas, but specialises in personal injury and insurance.

Crowdfunding platform Property Partner has recruited Warren Bath as chief financial officer. Warren, a former mergers & acquisitions director at Sky, is a chartered accountant who has also held senior positions at Morgan Stanley, Virgin Mobile UK and Vodafone Australia.
AshbyCapital
AshbyCapital, the real estate investment advisor, has appointed Tom Smithers as asset manager, Simon Osborne as legal counsel, Joe-Man Wan as investment analyst and Pippa Hunn as a team assistant. Tom joins from Green Property, where he was associate director of asset management. Simon will join from Forsters LLP, where he was an associate solicitor in the Corporate Department, on 16 May. He has previously trained and worked at Clifford Chance. Joe-Man joins from Ernst & Young, where he was an executive on the real estate corporate finance team. Prior to that, his career has included roles at UBS Investment Bank and Wellington Management Company. Pippa has spent the majority of her career working in the hospitality industry. She has a degree in hospitality and marketing management and spent the past three years working for At Your Service, managing staffing for high-profile events around London.
