Jo Preece has been appointed as a senior associate in the construction team at Maples Teesdale LLP. She has experience of working on development schemes, acquisitions and disposals, lettings and financings, having advised the likes of Almacantar, Capital & Counties, Intu Shopping Centres, Lend Lease and Standard Life. She previously worked as a senior associate at Herbert Smith Freehills.
Hurricane Energy
Hydrocarbon resources-focused UK energy company Hurricane Energy has named Dr Robert Arnott as its new non-executive chairman, replacing John Hogan, who is stepping down after three years in the role. Robert has spent over three decades in the oil and gas industry, starting out at Shell International. He has been chairman at Petroceltic International, Global Petroleum and Oyster Petroleum. Robert has held non-executive directorships at Rocksource ASA and, until recently, Core Energy AS, an oil and gas company focused on the Norwegian continental shelf. Dr Arnott was also a director of Spring Energy AS.
TmaxSoft
TmaxSoft has appointed Nick Hayes as sales manager for the UK. With over 15 years’ experience in the Oracle arena, Nick will work to increase and support users migrating to Tibero, the enterprise software providers’ low-cost alternative to Oracle. He has previously been employed with Oracle and a number of specialist Oracle partners, specialising in licence compliance and software audits.
Forward Role
Forward Role Recruitment has appointed David Nottage to manage the client-side digital sector. David joins from Badenoch & Clark. Shaun Dickson joins as creative consultant, to manage our clients’ growing need for UX, UI and design professionals. Shaun started his recruitment career in architectural design before moving over to client-side marketing. He has a strong retail and training background having worked for major brands, including Apple and L’Oreal. In addition, Lisa Atherton has been named finance & operations manager.
