Arbuthnot Banking Group
Arbuthnot Banking Group (ABG) has appointed Ian Arthur Henderson as chief executive at Arbuthnot Latham. Ian will also be joining the ABG Board from 6 May. He joins the company from Secure Trust, where he was head of strategic business development and chief executive of personal lending and mortgages. He was previously chief exec of Kensington Group, and chief executive of Shawbrook Bank. He has also worked at Barclays and RBS. Meanwhile, James Fleming has been appointed as vice-chairman of Arbuthnot Latham. He has stood down as a director of ABG, but will continue on the Arbuthnot Latham board.
Charles Stanley
Wealth manager Charles Stanley has appointed Gerald Carey as investment manager. Gerald joins Charles Stanley from Brewin Dolphin where he spent 13 years as an investment manager. Prior to this he worked for GVG Capital and Gerrard Investment. Gerald originally trained as a barrister before switching to a career in investment management in 1984.
Cording
Cording Real Estate Group, the northern European real estate investment and asset management firm, has appointed Rodney Bysh as chief executive. He has been with the company since 2013, when Frankfurt-based Feldberg Capital, where he was chief exec, merged its real estate investment management activities and team with Cording. Before Feldberg Capital, Rodney was a managing director at Rothschild, responsible for real estate investment banking in Germany from 2006 to 2008. He continues to be a senior adviser to Rothschild. Prior to Rothschild he spent seven years at Henderson Global Investors. In other board changes Will Amies will become deputy chief exec of the firm and will also be responsible for the UK office in addition to continuing his role as head of business development, and Mark Millar will become head of investment responsible for all transactional activity as well as for portfolio management.
SP Angel
SP Angel, the privately owned investment banking partnership, has appointed two new senior corporate finance directors – Lindsay Mair, who was most recently a director and QE at Sanlam and has 20 years’ experience in the alternative investment market (Aim) focusing on the natural resources, property and consumer sectors; and Richard Morrison, with 16 years’ experience with Aim firms , who joins as a director from ZAI, where he was a QE advising clients across the TMT and natural resource sectors.
JM Finn
Investment management firm JM Finn has recruited Edward Hagger to join the investment management team in its London office. Previously at Brewin Dolphin, Edward has spent over 30 years in the investment management industry since graduating from Oxford University in 1984.
