JHC Systems
JHC Systems, a provider of wealth management solutions, has announced the appointment of John Boggis as its new head of sales. John brings almost 20 years of financial industry experience to the role, having most recently held the position of head of sales for EMEA & APAC at Eagle Investment Systems, which is part of the Bank of New York Mellon. Prior to that, he was the company’s vice president, regional sales director for Europe, and has also held senior sales positions at SimCorp, FactSet and Thomson Financial.
Hausfeld
Claimant law firm Hausfeld has announced the appointment of John McElroy as a partner in its London office. A financial and commercial litigation specialist, John has acted for major domestic and international companies as well as for individuals in the High Court and the appeal courts, and acted for the successful claimants in the first case to reach judgment in the High Court’s new financial list. He has also acted in regulatory investigations involving both the UK Financial Conduct Authority and the US Securities and Exchange Commission and been involved in LCIA, ICC and ICSID arbitrations involving parties in various different jurisdictions. John joins from the London office of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP and previously worked at Travers Smith and Barlow Lyde & Gilbert.
Howard Kennedy
Law firm Howard Kennedy has strengthened its business and property tax team with the appointment of senior associate Philip Vickery. Philip joined the firm on 10 March from Bishop & Sewell where he was a senior associate in its private wealth practice, advising both individuals and businesses. He brings to Howard Kennedy more than 25 years’ experience as a tax solicitor, having held senior roles at Stephenson Harwood, Watson Farley & Williams and accountants Davisons Limited. He has a deep understanding of private client, corporate tax and real estate matters.
Property Partner
Property crowdfunding platform Property Partner has appointed Mark Weedon as head of institutional development. Mark joins the company from MSCI, where he was responsible for the IPD Residential Index, the industry standard measure of performance for large scale professionally managed residential investment.
Headland
Headland has appointed senior communications adviser Lucy Legh as a director. Lucy takes up her role after a decade at Tulchan, the specialist financial communications agency, where she advised FTSE 100, FTSE 250, small-cap and private companies on a range of reputation management and communications issues, including IPOs, M&A transactions, management restructurings and crises. She also played a role in establishing the firm’s successful mid-cap and growth companies business. Her previous clients include New Look, Lloyds Banking Group, The Co-operative Group, SuperGroup, Redrow, M&C Saatchi, First Utility and Dreams.
