Mark Preston has been appointed chief executive at the online broker. He has over 25 years’ experience in trading and banking. Preston was previously chief executive of Europe for CIBC, co-head of corporate markets at Lloyds Bank, and a principal at Valere Capital.
BNP Paribas Securities Services
The investment custodian has made four appointments to its UK client development team for institutional investors. Sid Newby joins as head of pension fund sales from BNY Mellon. Felix Schachter has been appointed head of insurance company sales. He has over 20 years’ experience in strategic management for institutional investors, and joins from Aon. Aida Molineux joins as head of client service from EY. Ben Williams-Thomas has been appointed sales manager for information solutions.
Morgan Stanley
The financial services firm has recruited Shamyl Malik to its electronic trading FX team. He was previously head of emerging markets and precious metals electronic trading at Citibank. Prior to that, Malik traded FX and commodity options at UBS and Lehman Brothers.
Jones Lang LaSalle
The property company has hired Denis Mavrokefalos as a director in its buildings and construction business. He was formerly at Goldman Sachs, where he spent six years in its corporate real estate team.
DAC Beachcroft
The law firm has recruited James Rhodes as a partner in its national employment and pensions group. He was most recently at Capsticks, where he was an associate.
Grant Thornton
Richard Shaw has joined the business and advisory firm as a director in its not for profit team. Shaw is an education specialist, and previously spent 13 years at KPMG.
Chesterton Humberts
The property company has announced two appointments. Paul Belson joins as residential investment director. He previously held roles at Knight Frank and Colliers. Robert Oatley has been appointed manager of its Pimlico and Westminster office. He joined the company in 2010 from Foxtons, having previously worked at Townends.
