CBRE
Sir Edward Lister has been appointed as a consultant to CBRE, the global real estate advisor. Sir Edward was most recently the mayor of London’s chief of staff and deputy mayor for policy and planning. In his new role, he will work with CBRE’s One London team in advising its clients on public sector engagement specifically relating to planning and development of the inner and outer London boroughs. This will include working alongside CBRE experts and local authority partners to realise the potential of public sector assets to the benefit of all parties. Sir Edward will aim to strengthen the firm’s access to both local and national government specifically around public sector assets and identification of development opportunities across the inner and outer London boroughs.
AXA Investment Managers
Bettina Ducat has been promoted to global head of product, retail and institutional development at AXA Investment Managers. Created in early 2014 to support AXA IM’s growth momentum in third party assets, the Client Group is made up of 288 professionals. At its inception the client group was divided into two business lines; the retail and wholesale client group led by Bettina Ducat and the institutional client group under the leadership of Tim Gardener. In order to make the client group more agile the business lines will now be combined into one broader, simpler team under the leadership of Bettina.
TSB
TSB has appointed Iain Laing as its new chief risk officer following Neeta Atkar’s decision to leave the business. Iain joins TSB from Nationwide, where he has held the position of chief risk officer since 2011. His responsibilities at TSB will include leading the bank’s risk appetite, strategy and regulatory framework, and advising the board and executive on risk and regulatory matters. Iain will report to chief executive officer, Paul Pester. Neeta has been TSB’s chief risk officer and member of the bank’s executive committee since the bank launched in 2013. During her tenure she has played an important role in the build, launch, IPO and ongoing establishment of TSB as Britain’s challenger bank.
Bedrock
Bedrock, the global investment and advisory firm, has appointed Patrick Lachotzki as head of business development and managing director of the firm’s fund management business. Patrick joins Bedrock from BlueBay Asset Management, where he was instrumental in raising assets and building the brand across the Benelux region, Canada and the USA. Most recently he was head of sales european financial institutions. In his role at Bedrock, Patrick will be responsible for leading the firm’s business development strategy and building its fund business. He is an alumnus of the Kellogg School of Management and previously worked at Citigroup Global Markets as assistant vice president in its equities department.
