The law firm has announced the appointment of Julian Thurston as a consultant in its global pharmaceutical and healthcare industry group. He was most recently at Morrison & Foerster, where he was a consultant and partner specialising in commercial life sciences transactions.
Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management
Barbara Rupf Bee has joined DeAWM as head of its global client group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She has almost 30 years’ industry experience. Rupf Bee was previously at Renaissance Asset Managers Group, where she was chief executive.
Hermes Fund Managers
The asset management firm has recruited Matthew Doyle as commercial director in its equity ownership services division. He joins from Latham & Watkins, where he was chief operating officer of its London office.
Premier
The investment management firm has announced the appointment of Paul Pugh as head of strategic partnerships in its sales team. He previously held roles at Cazenove Capital Management, Sarasin & Partners, and Zurich Intermediary Group.
Reed Smith
The law firm hired Isabelle MacElhone as a partner in its Paris corporate practice. She was most recently at Hogan Lovells, where she was head partner in its mergers & acquisitions team.
Sberbank Europe
Tamas Haiman has been appointed head of global markets at the bank. He has nearly 20 years’ experience across European capital markets. He previously spent four years as director for corporate sales and derivatives marketing for Russia, Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) and Turkey at Citibank. Prior to that, he was head of the risk solutions group for Russia, CEE and Turkey at Barclays Capital.
Moore Capital
The hedge fund has hired a team of nine from SAC Capital’s London office. Portfolio managers Israa Al Bayaa, Nicholas Aldridge, Arjun Menon, Alexios Papaconstantinou, Bramen Singanayagam, Martin Stapleton and Louis Villa moved, along with analysts Atallah Esptephan and Rahil Kuchiera.
