Palatine Private Equity
Palatine Private Equity has appointed Zoe Clements as a partner in the London team as the firm looks to back businesses that have a focus on environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles within their business models. Zoe joins from Electra Partners where she played a leading role in their investment in Photobox Group, a European digital consumer service for personalised products and gifts, and its exit of Daler-Rowney, one of the world’s largest suppliers of fine arts materials. She spent most of her private equity career at LGV Capital where she worked on a number of deals across a range of sectors. Her board seats included ABI, Air Energi, Craegmoor, Snow + Rock and South Lakeland Parks. Previously she was an associate director at Royal Bank of Scotland in the leveraged finance team and trained as a chartered accountant at PwC.
FTI Consulting
Global business advisory firm FTI Consulting has appointed Joel Kibazo as managing director. Joel will be based in the firm’s London office. He will support and promote the firm’s business growth throughout the continent, working closely with its Johannesburg and Cape Town offices together with FTI Consulting’s comprehensive affiliate network across Africa. He previously served as director of communications and external relations at the African Development Bank, the continent’s premier financial and economic development institution where he worked closely with a wide range of partner institutions including the US Treasury, British and African governments, and numerous public and private sector institutions.
Bristows
London-based law firm Bristows has promoted Richard Pinckney to the firm’s partnership. Richard will become a partner in Bristows’ internationally acclaimed patent litigation team. He offers extensive experience of complex multi-jurisdictional disputes in the TMT, engineering and electronics sectors. His practice will focus on patent litigation but will extend to cover a range of advice in relation to contentious IP disputes. Richard has a background in engineering and is a solicitor advocate with full rights of audience before the English courts.
Stephensons
Stephensons, national full service law firm, has appointed Catherine Powell as finance director. Catherine has over 10 years of experience in senior financial management positions across a variety of sectors. She joins the firm from a large housing and social care group.Catherine will hold responsibility alongside the partners for the accounting of client’s money in accordance with the strict rules set out by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. She will oversee the management of robust systems and controls across the firm, ensuring integrity and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
