Covington
Graham Vinter, general counsel of BG Group from 2007 until 2015, has joined Covington’s London office. Graham will chair the firm’s project finance practice and supervise an expansion of the firm’s capabilities in this area. At BG Group, he was a member of the group executive committee and reported to the chiefexecutive officer. He was responsible for the company’s legal affairs and headed a legal department of more than 80 lawyers worldwide. Prior to joining BG Group, Graham was for many years a partner at a Magic Circle firm and was the global head of its projects practice from 1996 to 2007.
Travelodge
Travelodge has appointed Jonathan Greensted to the newly-created position of chief technology officer. Jonathan will report directly to chief executive Peter Gowers. Within his new role Jonathan will be responsible for ensuring innovative technology drives the business forward, through the development of the company’s customer-facing and internal technology applications. Jonathan has most recently served as the company’s interim IT director. Prior to joining Travelodge, Jonathan held senior technology positions across the travel industry. These included positions at the low cost airline, Flybe, car rental leader, Avis Budget and the travel technology business, Travelport.
Vast Resources
Vast Resources, the AIM-listed mining company with operations in Romania and Zimbabwe, has appointed Carl Kindinger as chief financial officer. With proven experience working with AIM quoted companies in the natural resources sector, Carl brings a wealth of experience to support Vast in the development of its mining operations in Romania and Zimbabwe. He has held senior financial, managerial and board level posts for over 25 years in small to mid-sized companies internationally, including AIM quoted resources entities Island Oil and Gas Plc and Fastnet Oil and Gas. He has significant transactional experience, including fund raisings, corporate restructuring, financial controls and planning, economic analysis, IFRS reporting, and strategic planning.
Tuffin Ferraby Taylor
Tuffin Ferraby Taylor (TFT), an independent property and construction consultancy, has made five key appointments across its seven offices nationwide. Adam Lett has joined TFT London as a design manager from Pinnacle ESP. Simon Hill has been appointed building services engineer and will focus on maximsing the value of clients’ property portfolios through enhancing the building services. Simon joins from CBRE. The consultancy has also recruited three new graduate building surveyors – Chyrelle Watt in Bristol, Emily Young in Edinburgh and Emma Carter in Manchester.
