Kingston Smith
Kingston Smith has appointed its not-for-profit partner Anjali Kothari to its executive board. Anjali has been a partner at Kingston Smith since 2011, having joined as a manager in 2001. Well known as a specialist in the charity and education sectors, her client base includes charities, independent schools and academies. Among her various voluntary roles, Anjali is the current treasurer and executive member of the Charity Law Association and is the former president of the Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls’ Old Girls Committee.
WorldRemit
WorldRemit has appointed Andrew Lee to the newly-created role of company president. Andrew joins WorldRemit from William Hill Online where he was managing director, leading the digital transformation and continued growth of the business, including its rapid shift to mobile. Working with WorldRemit founder and CEO Ismail Ahmed, Andrew will develop the WorldRemit global brand and lead the expansion of the company’s international operations.
UHY Hacker Young
UHY Hacker Young, the national accountancy group, has appointed Chris Smith as a new partner in its London office. Prior to joining UHY Hacker Young, Chris was audit partner for Barnes Roffe in the West London office, where he was responsible for providing specific, hands-on expertise in advising owner managers and entrepreneurs. For 13 years, Chris was the audit senior manager in the London middle markets team for KPMG, one of the Big Four accounting firms.
Countryside Partnerships
Andrew Cornelius has been appointed by Countryside as finance director of its Partnerships South business. Andrew will be responsible for strategic financial commercial decisions on all aspects of the business alongside the chief executive of Partnerships, Richard Cherry, and managing director, Matthew Higgs. He joins Countryside from the Berkeley Group, where he was head of finance for St James.
