Linklaters
Nicola Rabson (pictured) has been appointed global head of the law firm’s employment and incentives practice. She succeeds Ruth Goldman, who will remain global head of Linklaters’ pensions teams. Rabson has extensive experience in all areas of employment law.
British Business Bank
Christopher Fox has been appointed chief financial officer at the bank for smaller businesses. He joins from UK Financial Investments, where he was head of banking, overseeing the government’s shareholdings in Lloyds Banking Group, RBS, and UK Asset Resolution. Fox previously worked at UBS for almost 20 years.
Hermes Investment Management
The investment management firm has appointed Ian Kennedy as chief operating officer. In 2009, he became interim chief executive at Fortis Private Banking, and steered the business through its sale to BNP Paribas Wealth Management (where he was subsequently chief operating officer and chief financial officer for the UK). Kennedy co-founded Investme Financial Services in 2012.
Investec
The bank’s corporate and institutional banking division has announced the appointment of Michael Jones as head of natural resources in London. He first joined Investec 10 years ago before leaving for Unicredit, where he has worked in its mining and metals team for the past five years.
Gatehouse Bank
David Swan has been appointed head of real estate investment at the investment bank, which specialises in shariah-compliant products and services. He founded Bridgeport Real Estate in 2012, and has also held positions at Tishman Speyer, Arcapita and WW Advisors.
AllianzGI
Andrew Curran has been appointed senior product specialist in emerging markets debt at the investment management firm. He most recently was a senior salesman covering leveraged loans, distressed debt, and global high yield at Evolution Securities and Cantor Fitzgerald. Curran has also held roles at Morgan Stanley, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Bank of America.
Martinez & Partners
The insurance broker has appointed Ian Cullen as new business executive. He joins from Aon, where he was most recently rental business services development director.
