Menzies Business Recovery
The recovery and insolvency arm of Menzies has hired David Thurgood as a director. He joins from Grant Thornton, where he spent 30 years working on receiverships, administrations and liquidations.
Aldermore Bank
The bank has appointed Stuart Williams as a property development manager. He was most recently at Bridgebank Capital, where he was a business development manager. Prior to that, Williams was a regional sales director at Davenham Property Finance. Aldermore has also promoted Simon Knowles to head of property development. He joined in 2010.
Redefine International
The UK real estate investment trust has announced the appointment of Adrian Horsburgh as a property director. He will oversee all investment and asset management decisions across its portfolio. Horsburgh joins from Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was most recently a retail investment director.
Hodge Jones and Allen
Rhian Radia has been appointed head of employment at the law firm. She specialises in employment law, including negotiated exits and service agreements. Radia was most recently at Herbert Smith, where she was a senior associate.
Marex Spectron
The commodities broker has announced the appointment of Georgi Slavov as head of basic resources and freight research. He joins from Armajaro, where he was head of supply chain strategies. Before that, Slavov was managing director of basic resources and freight research at Icap.
Henderson
Henderson Global Investors has promoted Nicholas Ware to co-manager of its Fixed Interest Monthly Income fund. He has 14 years’ experience in credit markets. Ware joined the retail fixed income team in 2012.
Grant Thornton
David Hitchcock has been appointed chairman of UK banking at the business advisory firm. He spent the last 17 years at JP Morgan, where he worked in its investment bank and asset servicing businesses. Hitchcock served as a captain in the Brigade of Gurkhas before joining Goldman Sachs in 1992.
