Investec Asset Finance
The asset finance business has announced the appointment of Alan Carter to its middle ticket team. He was most recently at Aldermore Asset Finance, where he was head of wholesale finance. Prior to that, Carter held senior positions at Fortis and Lombard.
Electra Partners
The private equity fund manager has appointed Nicola Gray as an investment manager. She joins from Phoenix Equity Partners, where she was an investment manager and involved in its key retirement solutions and CloserStill transactions. Gray previously worked in the strategy group at PwC, where she advised on commercial due diligence and corporate strategy projects.
Ingenious Asset Management
Andrew Waldren has joined the asset management company as chief operating officer (COO). He has over 20 years’ experience working in the wealth management and private client industry. He was formerly COO at J Stern. Before that, Waldren spent 12 years at Taylor Young Investment Management, latterly as group COO.
Irwin Mitchell
The law firm has appointed Rob Thompson as head of real estate. Thompson specialises in investment and development work, and complex corporate real estate and finance transactions. He joined in 2010 from SJ Berwin.
Renaissance Capital
The emerging and frontier markets investment bank has hired Rupert Preece as a director and head of sub-Saharan fixed income trading. He previously spent two years at Nomura and Visor Capital. Prior to that, Preece held syndicate management roles at ING and WestLB.
Forum Partners
Evelyne Dube has joined the investment management firm as managing director for capital markets and global business development. She was formerly a principal and head of real estate investor relations at Apollo.
Brightside Group
The specialist insurance broker has hired Paul Williams as chief executive. He joins from Towergate Partnership, where he was a director.
