Brian Kirwan has been appointed chief executive of Allianz’s UK corporate and specialty insurance business. He joined the company in 2011, and was most recently regional unit London head of market management and communications. Kirwan has also previously held executive positions in the Allianz risk transfer division.
LEGAL & GENERAL HOME FINANCE
Chris Buchanan has been appointed head of product and proposition for retirement lending at the division of the financial services group. He has many years’ experience in the lifetime mortgages sector, and has previously held positions at Just Retirement and Prudential in senior retirement lending roles.
CMS
The law firm has announced the appointment of Susann Altkemper as counsel in its financial services and products team. She joins from Euroclear UK & Ireland, where she was an in-house legal adviser and consultant. Altkemper has previously worked at CMS for over six years as an assistant in its financial services team. She has particular experience of the regulatory framework governing different types of financial market infrastructure, the Bank of England’s approach to supervision, and global regulatory developments.

Rupert Robinson has been appointed managing director of Gresham House Asset Management. He has 30 years’ experience in the private wealth and asset management industry, and was previously head of investment management and chief executive of Schroders Private Bank. Robinson has also held senior roles at NM Rothschild.

The firm of actuaries and consultants has appointed Lucy Blanchard as a senior client account manager within its workplace wealth team. She has over 10 years’ experience in the pensions industry, having previously worked as both a defined contribution consultant and actuarial analyst at Mercer.
CLIPSTONE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT
Andrew Windle has been appointed fund manager at the real estate investment management firm, which specialises in UK industrial property. He joins Clipstone Investment Management from M&G Real Estate, where he was a senior investment manager in its industrial and logistics team.
EVERSHEDS
The law firm has announced the appointment of Nicholas Jew as a consultant in its employment practice. He has over 20 years’ experience advising corporates and public sector organisations on all aspects of employment law, and joins from DLA Piper.
