Brown Rudnick
The law firm has announced the appointment of Sophie McGrath as a partner in its corporate team. McGrath joins from Morrison & Foerster, where she specialised in the venture capital and private equity sectors, and was responsible for advising on traditional exit strategies.
Arbuthnot Latham
The private bank has recruited Richard Kay as a senior private banker attached to its media and entertainment team. He was most recently at Coutts, where he was one of the founding bankers in its sports and entertainment division.
Laurence Simons
Chris Cayley has joined the recruitment company as managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Cayley has over 17 years’ recruitment experience, and has previously held senior roles at CMS Cameron McKenna, QD and TMP Legal.
Berenberg
The European investment and private bank has made two senior hires to its investment banking division. James Hipkiss joins as an equity salesman from Cheuvreux, where he was head of Scottish clients. Jamie Nettleton will join Berenberg’s Zurich office. He was most recently at JP Morgan, where he worked in equity sales. Prior to that, he was head of pan-European equity sales at Cazenove.
Beringea
The growth capital investor has announced two appointments to its investment team. Rob Hodgkinson joins as an investment manager. He was previously an investment manager at Ventursome. Prior to that, he worked in mergers and acquisitions at NM Rothschild. Harry Thomas joins as an analyst responsible for deal origination, research, and financial modelling.
AKJ
The brokerage and software group for the institutional and hedge fund industries has hired Tom Mackay as general counsel. Mackay was formerly legal department head at the London Stock Exchange.
Pinsent Masons
Peter Rosher has been appointed partner in the law firm’s Paris construction arbitration team. He joins from Clifford Chance, where he spent 17 years in its international arbitration group.
