Santander Corporate & Commercial
Andrew Whelan has been appointed managing director for regional real estate finance at Santander Corporate & Commercial. He joined in 2010 from Bank of Ireland, and has previously held roles at Barclays.
Aldermore Asset Finance
The challenger bank has made three appointments to its asset finance team. Carey Hansford joins as a business development manager from GE Capital, where she was a funding manager. Eamonn Pearson joins as head of internal sales. He was most recently at Close Brothers, where he was a regional director. Mandy Woodford has been promoted to business development manager in the materials handling team.
Canada Life Investments
The asset management firm has hired Nigel Darlington as a senior property manager in its property finance division. He has over 30 years’ real estate investment experience. Darlington was most recently a senior adviser at PwC.
Newton Capital Management
The asset management business has recruited Jim Wylie as head of North America. He joins from Turner Investment Partners, where he was chief marketing director and executive managing director. Prior to that, Wylie was global head of sales at Acadian Asset Management.
Eaton Vance
Edward Perkin has joined the investment management company as chief equity investment officer. He was most recently at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was chief investment officer for international and emerging markets equity.
Clearwater Corporate Finance
The corporate finance house has announced the appointment of Helen Lowe as an assistant director in its London office. Lowe specialises in mid-market transactions, and joins from About Corporate Finance. She previously held roles at BTG Corporate Finance and Baker Tilly.
Besso Insurance Group
The Lloyd’s broker has hired Samantha Hovey as chief financial officer. Hovey was formerly at Cooper Gay, where she was chief financial officer. Prior to that, she held positions at HSBC Insurance Brokers and Rattner McKenzie.
