The professional services firm has announced the appointment of Marc Middleton as a partner in its telecoms, media and technology transaction team. Middleton was most recently at Rothschild, where he was a partner and managing director.
Investec Specialist Bank
The specialist bank has appointed Joanna Turney to its growth and acquisition finance division. She will be responsible for originating and executing transactions for growth businesses and entrepreneurial management teams. She joins from RBS, where she was an associate director in its leveraged finance team.
FinnCap
The broker has announced four new hires. Julian Blunt and Grant Bergman have joined its corporate finance team; Guy Hewett and Mark Heyhoe have been appointed to its research team. Blunt has over 20 years’ industry experience, and was previously a corporate finance director at Peel Hunt. Bergman joins as an associate director from Investec Securities. Hewett was most recently at Espirito Santo and has over 15 years’ experience in support services equity research. Heyhoe joins from Fox-Davies, where he was an equity analyst specialising in the mining industry.
Axa UK
Deborah Parker has joined Axa’s operations team as group property director. She is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and formerly worked in the real estate advisory team within PwC’s restructuring practice.

The law firm has recruited Reena Patel as a commercial development and investment partner. Patel was most recently a partner at DAC Beachcroft.
Samsung
The electronics company has hired Simon Beresford-Wylie as global executive adviser to its networks business. He has previously held senior roles at Nokia Solutions and Networks.
BNP Paribas Securities Services
Florence Fontan has joined the investment custodian as head of its asset manager client segment. She joined BNP Paribas in 1998 following a 10 year career in management consulting at Arthur Andersen.
Saunderson House
The advisory firm has recruited Duncan Ross as chief operating officer. He was most recently at Citi Securities & Funds Services’ wealth business, where he led its client proposition and product strategy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before that, he held senior management roles at Brown Shipley and Legal & General.
Mayer Brown
Patricia Jones has been appointed as a partner in the law firm’s real estate group. Jones specialises in development and joint ventures. She was formerly a partner at SJ Berwin, where she worked for ten years.
