Prudential UK & Europe
Prudential UK & Europe has appointed Clare Bousfield to the role of CEO Insurance, subject to regulatory approval. With over 25 years’ experience in the insurance and financial services industries, Clare has built a strong reputation for leading and developing high performing teams across multiple business locations. She was a key leader in the strategic review and transformation of Aegon’s UK business and has held chief financial officer roles with Swiss Re and, most recently, with Aegon. Clare also has extensive experience in dealing with international regulators, including those in the UK, Ireland, and various countries in Continental Europe, as well as Asia and the USA.
Pradera
Asset managers Pradera have promoted David Fletcher to chief executive. David, formerly managing Director, has been with the company for almost 15 years and has been responsible for a number of major initiatives including the recent joint venture with Macquarie to provide asset management services in Asia. He remains a board director of the company. David joined Pradera in early 2002 and has been responsible for leading many of the company’s step changes, including the opening of asset management offices in Italy, the CEE and Turkey and the creation of the Pradera central and eastern Fund. In 2008, he moved to Hong Kong and was, until March 2011, the chief executive of Pradera Asia.
Newcore Capital Management
Newcore Capital Management, the alternative real estate investment manager, has appointed Juliette Chatellier as finance manager. Reporting to finance director, Tristan Rodgers, Juliette is responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports and year-end consolidated statutory accounts, as well as assisting with reporting to investors and lenders. Juliette formerly worked at Pastor Real Estate as the management and financial accountant. Prior to that, she worked for Dixon Wilson, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Bristows
London-based law firm Bristows has appointed its Marek Petecki as one of the firm’s joint managing partners. Marek, who will be working alongside Theo Savvides, will continue to be fully engaged in his transactional practice, serving clients in the life sciences, TMT and consumer products sectors, alongside his new management role. Marek succeeds the firm’s head of commercial IT Mark Watts who steps down form the position after six and a half years.
