The law firm has appointed Emma Jordan as head of contentious trusts in its private client practice. She joins from Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co, where she was a contentious trusts and litigation partner. Jordan has a particular focus on advising and representing trustees and high net worths in litigation.

The insurance, investment and retirement group has appointed Katie Wadey as member and customer director. She joins from Tesco, where she was customer experience director. Wadey started her career at Arthur Anderson, and has subsequently held senior marketing roles at BT, RBS, Barclays and British Gas.
GLOBAL PRIME PARTNERS
The financial services firm has announced the appointment of Sean Capstick as head of prime brokerage. He joins from RWC Partners, where he was head of new markets and a member of its management committee. Capstick has also previously held senior positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs.
CANOPIUS GROUP
The global specialty (re)insurer has announced the appointment of Francis Lobo as head of upstream oil and gas engineering. He joins from XL Catlin, where he was most recently head of engineering. Lobo is a petroleum engineer and engineering risk manager, with 18 years’ experience in the oil industry and 13 years in the insurance market.
HAMLINS
The law firm has announced the appointment of Julian Ward as technology and digital media partner. He joins from BBC Worldwide, where he was head of business and legal affairs digital retail. Ward was also formerly general counsel at video game developer and publisher Codemasters.
MALCOLM HOLLIS
The building surveying company has announced two appointments to its City office. Simon Devlin joins as an associate in its technical due diligence team. He has previously held positions at Sweett Group and Watts. Ranjit Bhambra joins as an associate in its projects team. He was previously at John Rowan & Partners. In addition, Steve Taylor joins Malcolm Hollis’ North East projects service from CBRE, and Lidia Rachon has joined its Birmingham office as assistant geomatics and measured building surveyor from Balfour Beatty.
