Saxo Bank
The investment bank has announced the appointment of Steen Blaafalk as global head of finance and risk operations. He previously spent 30 years at Danske Bank, where he was most recently acting head of group treasury and a member of its executive committee.
Latham & Watkins
The law firm has appointed Kem Ihenacho as a partner in its corporate division. He joins from the private equity practice at Clifford Chance, where he was a partner.
Nomura
Nick Payne has joined the asset management firm as a Latin American portfolio manager. He was formerly head of Latin American equities at Rexiter Capital Management, where he also managed emerging market equity portfolios.
Renaissance Capital
The emerging and frontier markets investment bank has hired David George as managing director and head of London trading. He has nearly 20 years’ experience in emerging markets (EM). George previously led the EM trading desk at Merrill Lynch, and was most recently chief operating officer of the EM equity business at Goldman Sachs.
BNY Mellon Investment Management EMEA
Imad Abukhlal has joined the investment management business as head of Middle East and Africa. He was formerly at Western Asset Management, where he was senior executive officer and head of its Dubai office. Abukhlal has also held analyst roles at Lyras Financial Services.
Towers Watson
The professional services firm has hired Tim Richard as head of its human resources service delivery (HRSD) and technology practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He joins from the Dallas office, where he was a managing consultant in its North American HRSD practice.
Axa Assistance UK
Eoin Lyons has been appointed chief operating officer at the assistance services company. He is currently general manager of Axa Assistance Ireland, and previously held roles at Irish Life Assurance.
