Stirling Square Capital Partners
The mid-market private equity firm has announced the appointments of Jonathan Heathcote (pictured) as a partner and Matteo Nichil as an executive. Heathcote was most recently at Palamon Capital Partners, where he was a partner. Prior to that, he was a partner at European Acquisition Capital. Nichil joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was an associate in its mergers and acquisitions division.
BTIG
The financial services firm has hired Sean Lavin as a managing director and senior analyst in its research department. He was most recently at Lazard Capital Markets, where he covered medical technology. Prior to that, Lavin was a sell-side analyst covering medical devices at Oppenheimer.
CII
The Chartered Insurance Institute has named David Hertzell as chairman of its professional standards board. Hertzell was appointed a law commissioner in 2007, and was formerly managing partner at Davies Arnold Cooper.
Logicalis
The IT company has recruited Gary Bullard as chief executive. He has over 25 years’ experience in the IT and telecoms industry. Bullard was formerly UK chief executive at Logica.
Planet Payment
Carl Williams has been appointed president at the payment and transaction firms. He has over 30 years’ experience working in financial services.
The Consulting Consortium
The regulatory consultancy has made two senior hires. Kevin Parkinson previously held various roles at Life & Pensions. Chris Martin was most recently at the Financial Conduct Authority.
Juniper Networks
The networks company has recruited Shaygan Kheradpir as chief executive. Kheradpir joins from Barclays, where he was chief operations and technology officer.
Utilyx
Giuseppe Di Vita has joined the energy consultancy as corporate development and strategy director. He was formerly a managing director at Npower.
