The law firm has announced the appointment of Philip Slater as a partner in its financial transactions group. He joins from Reed Smith, where he led its acquisition and leveraged finance practice in London. Prior to that, Slater was a partner at Addleshaw Goddard.
Santander Corporate & Commercial
Charles Garfit has been appointed head of manufacturing for the UK at Santander Corporate & Commercial. He has over 20 years’ experience in corporate and commercial lending. Garfit was previously head of Santander Asset Finance, and has also held roles at Gordon Brothers.
RPC
The law firm has appointed Jamie McKie as a senior associate in its real estate practice. He was most recently at the Local Government Association, where he focused on complex planning and highways issues.
Invesco Real Estate
The real estate investment manager has hired Etienne Dupuy as a senior director for asset management in Europe. He joins from BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Services, where he was a managing director. Before that, Dupuy worked at Axa Real Estate Investment Managers.

David Semmens has joined the law firm as a partner and head of its private client division. He specialises in all aspects of private client work, and was formerly a partner at Gordon Dadds.
Moorhouse
The transformation and strategy business has appointed Josie Cluer as public sector lead. She joins from KPMG, where she was a management consultant. Cluer was formerly special adviser to Cabinet minister John Denham, at the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.
Beazley
The insurance company has announced the appointment of James Gray as a specialty lines treaty underwriter. He has worked in the London insurance market as a US property and casualty (P&C) underwriter since 2010, and prior to that as a P&C broker. He previously worked in cyber liability at Ark Syndicate Management.
