GE Capital
Isabel Fernandez has been named chief commercial officer of the financial services unit of General Electric. Fernandez has been with the firm since 2000. Prior to starting with GE Capital, she was vice president of Project Finance at ABN Ambro Bank.
Mediobanca
The Italian-based bank has appointed Felipe De Grado as managing director to its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team in London. Grado has held senior roles at Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and Nomura, and has been an equity advisor on major ECM deals in Europe.
Rose Petroleum
The Aim-listed natural resources company has appointed Chris Eadie to its board as finance director. The chartered accountant qualified with PwC and has held a number of senior financial roles at Cable and Wireless and Aurum Mining. He will continue to be involved with the latter on a part-time basis.
Towers Watson
Sharmila Nebhrajani OBE and Russell Picot are the first trustees to join the professional services company's Master Trust (LifeSight) board, which will be chaired by Donald Brydon CBE. Brydon is currently chair of Royal Mail and Sage. During his career, he has worked for BZW Asset Management and chair and chief executive of Axa Investment Managers. Nebhrajani is chair of the Human Tissue Authority, and has held a number of executive and non-executive roles. She is currently the new director of external affairs for Medical Research Council. Picot is group chief accounting officer for HSBC; a role he has held since 1994.
Verne Global
The UK-based data centre developer has appointed Dominic Ward as vice president of corporate and business development. Ward, who will be responsible for all aspects of corporate and business development, joins from Lepe Partners, which he co-founded. Prior to that, he was co-head of direct investments and the Wellcome Trust. He has also held senior roles at Jones Lang LaSalle.
Falkland Island Holdings
The international services group has appointed Edmund Rowland as chairman. Rowland takes over from David Hudd, having previously been non-executive deputy chairman. Hudd is currently director of Blackfish Capital Management and as chief executive of Banque Havilland SA (London Branch).
