Nina Epstein has been appointed senior management surveyor at the commercial property adviser. She joins from DTZ, where she worked in its property asset management/business development division. Epstein has also held roles at Cushman & Wakefield, LaSalle Investment Management, and CB Hillier Parker.
Aviva Investors
Mark Connolly has been appointed chief investment officer, fixed income, in Aviva’s asset management business. He has over 25 years’ industry experience, and joins from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, where he was director and head of fixed income. Connolly has also held senior positions at Insight, Deutsche Asset Management, and Standard Life Investments.
BlueBay Asset Management
Jana Velebova has been appointed portfolio manager in the emerging markets sovereign team at the specialist manager of fixed income and alternative investments. She began her fund management career at Threadneedle, before moving to Rogge Global Partners in 2010, where she became a partner.
Lincoln Private Investment Office
The wealth management company has announced the appointment of Chris Rowell as a partner. He has worked in the industry for 30 years, and was a senior member of the Barclays UK Investment Committee.
SEI
The investment processing, management, and operations solutions firm has appointed Martin Steer as commercial director to help grow its UK private banking business. He joins from Cofunds, where he was head of commercial finance. Steer was also previously head of finance at Skandia, head of finance actuary at Selestia, and started his career at Aviva.
Practico
The commercial costs consultancy has announced the appointment of James Barrett as a managing associate. He joins from the government, where he was head of the costs team for the Treasury Solicitor’s Department.
Nottingham Building Society
The building society has announced the appointment of two non-executive directors. Andrew Neden recently retired from KPMG after a 30 year career. His roles included head of financial sector transaction services and global chief operating officer for KPMG Financial Services. Guy Thomas was most recently director of the Principality Building Society.
