The corporate and specialty insurance business has announced the appointment of Elke Vagenende as head of financial institutions for its London regional unit. She has over 16 years’ industry experience, and joined in 2012 at head of product development. Vagenende was previously a senior underwriter at Liberty Mutual Insurance.
Smith & Williamson Investment Management
The investment management business has hired Ed Rosengarten as head of funds for its pooled funds division. He was most recently at City Financial, where he was head of UK asset management. Prior to that, Rosengarten was chief executive for equities at M&G.
Berwin Leighton Paisner
Nicola Hopkins has been appointed funds partner in the law firm’s corporate practice. Hopkins was previously at Linklaters, where she was a partner in its investment management group and head of its funds review practice.
OANDA
The foreign exchange trading services provider has appointed Daniel Skowronski as a managing director in London. He joins from Alpari, where he led its business strategy.
Heartwood Investment Management
The investment management firm has announced the appointment of Matt Hollier as head of investment product. He previously spent 13 years at Old Mutual Global Investors, where he was most recently director of product management. Prior to that, Hollier was a strategy consultant.
Savills
The property company has made three appointments to its building and project consultancy team. Alex Gould joins from GVA Property Consultancy, where he was a senior surveyor. Carly Titchner previously worked at Cluttons. Simon Standfast joins from Deloitte Real Estate, where he was a senior project manager.
Franklin Templeton
Kelsey Biggers has joined the investment management firm as head of performance analysis and investment risk. He was formerly head of risk at K2 Advisors, a Franklin Templeton subsidiary company.
