The investment management firm has hired George Ahl as managing director for capital markets. He was most recently at M3 Capital Partners, where he was a founding principal. Prior to that, Ahl held senior positions at Security Capital Group and Crimson Capital Corporation.

Legal & General Investments has appointed Martin Holland as head of discretionary sales. He joins after 11 years at UBS, where he was a director for sales, discretionary, and fund of funds for the Midlands and the South. He was previously a national sales manager at EMX and Scottish Amicable. Before that, Holland worked at Eagle Star.
Field Fisher Waterhouse
The law firm has announced the appointment of Philip Abbott as a partner in its finance group. He specialises in funds finance, real estate finance and restructurings. Abbott was formerly at Simmons & Simmons, where he was a partner in its London finance practice. Prior to that, he was an associate at Allen & Overy.

Simon Pardoe has joined the investment management and advisory firm as head of defined contribution proposition. He was previously at Legal & General, where he was responsible for workplace savings strategy, proposition and market development.

The investment management company has appointed Mark Wright as a regional sales manager. He was formerly a portfolio manager and investment analyst at AFH Wealth Management. Wright has also held senior roles at T Bailey Asset Management and Williams de Broe Stockbrokers.

Graham Vidler has been appointed head of external affairs at the National Association of Pension Funds. He joins from the National Employment Savings Trust, where he was director of communications and engagement. Before that, he held roles at the Association of British Insurers and Which?.

The law firm has hired Steven Hull as a partner in its London office. He was most recently at Ashurst, where he was a partner and head of its pensions division. Hull has over 25 years’ experience advising on pension-related matters.
