The debt advisory firm has hired Daniel Morland as a partner. He has over 20 years’ financing experience, and was most recently at Gleacher Shacklock, where he was a partner and head of debt advisory. Prior to that, Morland held senior roles at Close Brothers.
Cantor Fitzgerald
Cantor Fitzgerald Europe has announced the appointment of Deven Sthankiya as a managing director in its debt capital markets team. He will focus on debt placement and the origination business in Europe. Sthankiya has nearly 20 years’ experience working in European debt markets and joins from HSBC, where he worked in its leveraged and acquisition finance team. Prior to that, he was a director in the European leveraged finance division at Citigroup.
Hermes Investment Management
The investment management firm has appointed Eoin Murray as head of investment office. He joins from GSA Capital Partners, and has previously held senior positions at Old Mutual, Callanish Capital Partners and Northern Trust Global Investments.
Aberdeen Asset Management
Mike Brooks has joined the asset management company as co-lead in its diversified growth investment division. He was previously at Baillie Gifford, where he was co-founder and an investment manager on the Baillie Gifford Diversified Growth fund.
Brooks Macdonald
Brooks Macdonald Asset Management has announced the appointment of Jim Mackie as an investment management director in its managed portfolio service team. Mackie has over 15 years’ investment management experience. He joins from Vestra Wealth, where he was an investment manager and sat on its platform investment committee. He previously held roles at Cheviot Investment Management, UBS, Laing & Cruickshank and HSBC.
FxPro
Jon Chapman has been appointed institutional sales manager in the eFX sales team at the online broker. He formerly worked in FX sales at Boston Technologies. Prior to that, Chapman was head of FX sales at Knightsbridge Trading, and held fixed income roles at Standard Chartered and JP Morgan.
